Recently, we made some pretty bold predictions about how Generative AI can radically change how you approach your cloud strategy. Our hypothesis? By incorporating a cooperative model between humans and AI, you can dramatically accelerate migrations, significantly optimize human resources, boost compliance with enterprise policies, and enhance overall accuracy. To prove it, we started to build an AI-powered cloud migration platform.
Our experiments using Large Language Models (LLMs) to automate and streamline cloud migrations have yielded impressive results so far. The experimental AI platform we’re working on is already able to analyze a source codebase, compute infrastructure dependencies, and propose a deployment architecture for the target cloud platform (in accordance with IT policies). Plus, the interface provides opportunities for a human expert to cooperate with the AI model to intervene and provide feedback, as needed.
Seems great on paper, but you might be wondering: what is an AI-powered cloud migration platform actually like? In this post, we’re sharing an exclusive preview. Check out this lightweight demo that we recently delivered to our internal teams.
Interested in learning more about how we did it? Join us on our journey by following along with this series. In upcoming posts, we’ll continue exploring the power of AI in the scope of cloud migrations. We’ll share details on our prompt engineering techniques, compare AI models, and break down the steps we took to transform the cloud migration process into one that’s optimized leveraging AI.
The future of AI-assisted cloud migrations is exciting, to say the least. Stay tuned as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible by combining human ingenuity with artificial intelligence.
